The Cataño Ferry connects Old San Juan to Cataño. It is a short boat ride, like 10 minutes, but you will enjoy a spectacular view of the San Juan Bay and its cruises. On it you can carry light luggage such as bicycles, musical instruments, etc. The Cataño terminal has beautiful gazebos and benches along the coast. The boat leaves every 30 minutes and the fee is $1.00 round trip, per person, or $0.50 one way. They are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It is the fastest way to get to Old San Juan in busy activities.
