The Centro Criollo de Ciencia y Tecnología del Caribe (C3tec) is an educational complex in the municipality of Caguas. It is frequented by groups of students from schools, colleges and homeschooling, but is designed for the enjoyment of people of all ages. In the first level you will learn about physics, biology, ecosystems, nutrition and sustainability with the interactive and visually attractive exhibits. In addition to that, there’s a friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you make the most of every corner of the place. Children will love the biology lab where they become little scientists with lab coat and glasses. The second level has a children's area with books, projector and craft table. There is also a place where artworks are exhibited. The third level takes you to the wonderful green roof, designed to save energy and capture rainwater that is reused in the building. It has a garden with vegetables and medicinal plants and children can learn about hydroponics. Outside the main building is the cinema showing documentaries and educational and cultural films. The movies have an extra cost. It has a modern cafeteria serving crepes, coffee and other beverages. For more information about prices click here. They are open Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Public Holidays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm.
