Picturesque gardens, spacious green areas and native and endemic trees are some of the attractions of the Botanical and Cultural Garden of Caguas; recently named, William Miranda Marín, after the former Mayor of the municipality and the project’s visionary. Separate a whole day to enjoy fully this beautiful paradise where vegetation is not the only protagonist because a river crosses the whole garden. You will find birds, fish and farm animals that will catch the attention of any child, artifacts and ruins dating back to the time of the farming of sugar cane in the island, sculptures, a suspension bridge, a replica of an 1900 puertorrican house with its own garden, and indigenous exhibitions. The botanical garden host cultural and educational activities throughout the year and they tend to be very crowded. If you wish to visit the garden and enjoy the tranquility it can offer you, call to make sure that there is no event. Bring with you comfortable shoes and water. The entrance fee is: adults with 13 years or more $7, children from 7-12 or adults with more than 60 $4, children younger of 7 years doesn’t paid.
