The “Malecón de Naguabo” or Naguabos’s Waterfront is a picturesque area facing the Caribbean Sea, known for its fresh seafood restaurants and kiosks. The most requested dishes are: the fried snapper, “pastelillos de chapín” or fish turnovers and the famous “arepas de coco”, a flour and coconut fried tortilla. If you look to the horizon you will enjoy a small island known as Cayo Santiago. On weekends you will find local craftsmen, “piraguas” shaved ice vendors and sweets treats kiosks. There is a free parking lot without security; and another with security for a fee, so you can enjoy the surroundings walking.
