The Carolina Children's Museum is located at the intersection of the Campo Rico Avenue with the Roberto Clemente Avenue in Carolina.
The museum has educational displays about: aviation, autos, marine life, magnetism, electricity, construction, alternative energy, music, the universe, ecosystems and water elements. As soon as you enter you will find a volcano that erupts every half hour. An interesting area is the theater room where children can dress up and perform on stage.
Besides the exhibits, there is an amphitheater to do activities and a conference room. Also there are 2 cafes and a souvenir shop.
Outside the building there is an area with gazebos to celebrate birthdays and a recreational area for the children. You must make reservations to celebrate a birthday, but you can use the recreation area if you're visiting the museum.
One of the most striking attractions of the museum is a plane donated by American Airlines. From time to time there are tours to teach about the operation of a plane and for the children to come in and have the experience inside an airplane. For the more adventurous there are go karts, but they have an additional cost of $ 5.
The museum is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday through Sunday and holidays, it's open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The admission is $ 6 for children ages 1 to 14 and $ 10 per adult. There are special rates for groups over 12 people. The parking fee is $ 2. All adults must be accompanied by a minor to enter the museum. Separate up to 4 hours to enjoy the museum.
