The Punta Tuna Wetland is a natural reserve located in Maunabo; its slogan is "the hidden gem of the Southeast". It is a place to explore and enjoy the wonder of nature. In the reserve you can enjoy the following activities: walking, jogging, bird watching, photography, day trips and starwatching. During the trip you will find informational signs of the fauna and flora of this ecosystem. One of the most impressive areas is the watchtower of three floors. It has several trails, most of them are labeled with the distance, steps and estimated travel time; this way you can choose the most appropriate one. The reserve is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. To request a guided tour, you have to call ahead at 787-473-8404 or 787-861-0387.
