The Balneario Sun Bay is the most well-known beach of Vieques. White sand, turquoise water and green palms decorate the beach and make it perfect for all those looking for a beautiful natural landscape. This lovely beach, of approximately one mile long in length, has sanitary facilities, parking, cafeteria, gazebos, lifeguards and a camp ground ($10 per night). It is open Wednesday to Sunday and holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although the access to the beach remains open all day. It is administered by the National Parks Company of Puerto Rico.
