The Park of the Caverns of the Camuy River is one of the most spectacular places of Puerto Rico. It is the third greatest cave system in the world and at the moment 18 entrances have been discovered. After enjoying a video, a trolley will take you to the entrance of the main cave, “Cueva Clara,” which is more than 170 feet high and has immense stalagmites and stalactites. During the tour the guides of the park will inform you about the ecosystem of the caverns in a jovial and friendly way. At the end of the tour, the trolley stops at the “Sumidero Tres Pueblos,” a natural drain, where at the end you will see the Camuy River. In addition to its natural attractions, the park has picnic tables, a souvenir store and a cafeteria. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and the entrance fee is $12 per adult, $7 per child and $3 for parking.
