The Balneario El Escambrón is categorized as a
Blue Flag beach, an eco-label granted to beaches with a high water quality, restrooms and lifeguards. The beach has a ramp to provide access to the disabled persons to the beach, showers, security and a restaurant. There is also a bridge that connects the “balneario” with the Luis Muñoz Rivera Park. Beside the beach there is the Tercer Milenio Park that has a jogging trail and a baseball field. It is located at the Old San Juan’s entrance and you can arrive there using public transportation. Parking cost $3 and it’s open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
