The Puerto Rico Zoo, Dr. Juan A. Rivero, is administered by the “Compañía de Parques Nacionales de Puerto Rico.” The zoo has been updated in the last years and has new attractions like the aviary, the butterfly exhibition and the arthropodary. The children will be enchanted with the variety of animals: lions, elephants, giraffes, hippo, ostriches, rhinos, monkeys, among others. It is an excellent park to spend a day with family. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The admission fee is:

Adults - $6
Teens (11 a 17) - $4
Children (5 a 10) - $2
Children under 4 – Free

Now they have a Butterfly place and a Bird place and another exhibition room very colorful with air conditioning and info about insects and more. Very nice.
